Here below is the Vatican-released itinerary of Pope Francis’ June 21-22 visit to Turin, Italy:

Sunday, June 21:

6.30: Departure by car from the Vatican to Rome’s Ciampino Airport

7.00: Flight takes off from Rome to Turin Caselle Airport

8.00: Arrival at Turin Caselle Airport

The Holy Father will be greeted by:

– Archbishop of Turin, Cesare Nosiglia

– Hon. Sergio Chiamparino, President of the Piedmont Region

– Dr. Paola Basilone, Prefect of Turin

– Hon. Piero Fassino, Mayor of Turin

Transfer by car to Piazzetta Reale.

8.30: Piazzetta Reale: Meeting with the world of work

–Greetings of a worker, a farmer and a businessman

After the meeting, the Holy Father walks into Cathedral

9.15: Cathedral: Prays before the Shroud and makes a short stop before the altar of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

To be present are: nuns and priests guests of the houses of the clergy of the diocese, the Chapter of the canons, the Commission Shroud, some relatives of Blessed Piergiorgio Frassati, Cardinal Poletto and the bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta

10.00: The Holy Father leaves the Cathedral and goes to Piazza Vittorio

14.30: The Holy Father leaves the Archbishopric and goes to the Sanctuary of the Consolata

14.40 Sanctuary of the Consolata: Visit and prayer in private

14.45: The Holy Father leaves the Sanctuary and moves to the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians

15.00: Basilica of Mary Help of Christians: Meeting with Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians

In the square in front of the Basilica, the Holy Father will give various greetings

There will be greetings from Father Ángel Fernández Artime, Major Rector of the Salesians, and Sister Yvonne Reungoat, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians

8.45: The Holy Father leaves the Archbishop and moves by car to the Valdese Temple on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II

9.00: At the entrance of the Temple, the Holy Father is received by:

– President of the Consistory of the Evangelic Valdese Church

– Pastor Paul Ribet

After the meeting, the Holy Father will go into a nearby room to meet a delegation and to exchange gifts

10.15: The Holy Father leaves to return to the Archbishopric

In a strictly private visit, the Holy Father will meet some of his relatives; he will celebrate Mass for them in the Chapel of the Archbishopric and will have lunch with them in Archbishopric

16.30: Before leaving the Archbishopric, the Holy Father will meet briefly with exposition committee members, and organizers and supporters of the visit

17.00: The Holy Father will depart from the Archbishopric by car to go to Turin Caselle Airport. Along the way, the Holy Father will be greeted by the young people of ‘Estate Ragazzi

17.30: Takeoff from Turin Caselle Airport

18.30: Landing at Rome’s Ciampino Airport

Immediate transfer by car to the Vatican
