Pope Francis on February 10, 2018, said a business model should put people before profits, according to Vatican News.
His remarks came in a talk to Italian postal workers in the Clementine Hall of the Vatican.
The Holy Father said the postal service has been “inseparably linked to the life and history of Italy.” He continued by noting the ongoing renewal of the postal organization and encouraged it to implement “a business strategy faithful to your original calling, to be at the service of the citizens.”
He concluded by emphasizing the need to care not only for customers but for employees and their families.
