Look to the Sacred Heart of Jesus…
Pope Francis gave this reminder during today’s General Audience on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, after his catechesis on the Acts of the Apostles, noting: «Friday, we celebrate the solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.»
In accordance with the Roman Catholic Church’s liturgical calendar, the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Latin Sollemnitas Sacratissimi Cordis Iesu, is a solemnity that falls 19 days after Pentecost on a Friday.
With this in mind, the Holy Father said: «I invite everyone to look to that Heart and imitate its most true sentiments.»
«Everyone pray,» Pope Francis urged, «for all the priests and my Petrine ministry, in order that each pastoral action be imprinted on the love that Christ has for each person.»
