(ZENIT News – International Family News / Washington, 06.11.2023).- Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker sported a pro-life message during the team’s White House visit on Monday in celebration of their Super Bowl victory. Butker’s tie, which bore the Latin phrase “Vulnerari Praesidio” translating to “protect the most vulnerable”, was designed specifically for this occasion by the pro-life organization Live Action. This was a statement directed at what is regarded as the most pro-abortion administration in the history of the United States.

In addition to the tie, Butker also wore a gold pin signifying the size of a 10-week-old aborted baby’s feet. The intention was to highlight the issue of abortion and the significant number of unborn babies lost to it annually. Photographs captured Butker proudly donning the tie while standing behind President Joe Biden.

Butker utilized this White House visit as an opportunity to speak for “the forgotten of our society”. Considering President Biden’s self-professed devout Catholic faith juxtaposed with his strong support for abortion, Butker’s statement held particular significance. “I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to normalize the tragic termination of their lives,” Butker expressed.

Lila Rose, the founder and President of Live Action, conveyed her pride in partnering with Butker on this initiative. She called on President Biden to reject the extreme views of the abortion lobby and protect vulnerable children.

Butker, a self-professed devout Catholic, regularly emphasizes the significance of his faith. He has often been noticed wearing a brown scapular, a symbol of devotion to Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, during football games. His statement at the White House underscores his strong pro-life stance and the importance of his faith in shaping his views.
