Pope Francis met today with a group of Pentecostal pastors from around the world.
According to a statement released by the Holy See Press Office, the Holy Father met with the group in a meeting that was private, very cordial, and was characterized by “a spirit of prayer for unity.”
The communiqué noted that the meeting gathered some 100 pastors from around the world. Pastor Giovanni Traettino, whose community in the Italian city of Caserta was visited last year by Pope Francis, led the group.
Cardinal Kurt Koch, the President of Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, accompanied Pope Francis at the encounter. (D.C.L.)
