Vatican II History on DVD

VATICAN CITY, JAN. 27, 2009 (Zenit.org).- As part of the anniversary celebrations marking 50 years since the convocation of the Second Vatican Council, a new DVD is available detailing the history of the event.

The Vatican Television Center has produced the 60-minute documentary, which details some of the protagonists of the council and shows images and moments that would mark the history of the Church.

“The II Vatican Council” is currently available in English, Spanish, Italian and Polish and is being distributed by HDH Communications.

Pope John XXIII convoked the council on Jan. 25, 1959.
