Relics of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus
arrived in Mexico this week.

Though she spent her last years in a convent, she is world patroness of missions. Thérèse Martin (1873-1897), of Lisieux, was proclaimed a doctor of the Church by John Paul II in 1997.

Her relics, sent from France, will be taken to 30 Mexican states. The program defined by the Mexican Church specifies that the relics will visit hospitals, prisons, and social care centers.
