Article: Bishop Fellay’s Apology for Holocaust Statements

In this text, Bishop [Bernard] Fellay in no way indicates that the statements and opinions of the Bishop Williamson are unfortunate. Nor does he express his regret for the hurt this has caused to both Catholics and especially to the Jewish community.

He simply mentions, «As we recognize how imprudent the statements were, we affirm with sadness that they have directly affected our fraternity by discrediting our mission.»

There is no concern for the pursuit of truth or the tremendous damage in inter-faith relations. […]
