ROME, JULY 27, 2009 (Zenit.org).- Robert Moynihan, founder and editor of Inside the Vatican, is beginning today a biweekly ZENIT column called «Within the Colonnade.»
The first article, titled «Barack and Benedict XVI,» considers the relationship between the Vatican and U.S. President Barack Obama.
His column will alternate on Mondays with Carl Anderson’s «Civilization of Love.»
Apart from his duties at Inside the Vatican, Moynihan has appeared on CNN, Fox News, EWTN, the BBC, and many radio programs to comment on Church and Vatican affairs.
He is the author of the book «Let God’s Light Shine Forth: the Spiritual Vision of Pope Benedict XVI» (2005, Doubleday). He also writes a blog, which can be found at Insidethevatican.com.
Moynihan received his Ph.D. from Yale University in Medieval Studies in 1988. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard College.
