ROME, MARCH 15, 2012 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI chose a married couple to prepare the meditations for this year’s Good Friday Way of the Cross in the Colosseum.

Danilo and Annamaria Zanzucchi were chosen by the Pope to write the reflections. The Italian couple launched the New Families Movement, part of the Focolare Movement.

The meditations will focus on the family, and will follow the traditional 14 stations of the Way of the Cross.

The New Families Movement was born in 1967 within Chiara Lubich’s Focolare Movement. It has more than 800,000 members worldwide.
