VATICAN CITY, MARCH 20, 2012 (Zenit.org).- On the feast of St. Joseph on Monday, Benedict XVI and the prime minister of Italy exchanged congratulations, as the day is a feast for both of them.
For Benedict XVI, born Joseph Ratzinger, it is his name day. Mario Monti, meanwhile, celebrates his birthday on St. Joseph’s day. This year he turned 69.
The Vatican reported that the two spoke by telephone Monday, enjoying a «cordial conversation» and their mutual congratulations.
