The EUK Mamie Foundation, an initiative of the Home of the Mother, in collaboration with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, wishes to place emphasis on the importance of the Liturgy and the Eucharist in the life of the Church and therefore, in the new evangelization. With that in mind, it has just recently launched the first program of the series “From the Visible to the Invisible” on the Liturgy, the highest form of prayer that the Church offers to God the Father with Christ as Head. The intention of this video is to create awareness regarding the greatness and splendor of the invisible which lies hidden in the visible contents of the Liturgy.

It features, among others, comments from Cardinal Antonio Cañizares, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

“The liturgy is above all the work of God, which is carried out through the Church, through the unity of signs and words,” and Cardinal Francis Arinze, Prefect Emeritus of the same Congregation, “Our celebration of the worship of God in this world is a preparation for the eternal celebration of God in heaven, which will never end.”

“There is no new evangelization without the liturgy,” said Cardinal Antonio Cañizares in the recent Synod on the New Evangelization.

This program is intended to serve as an instrument in this New Evangelization, encouraging all to deepen in the mystery contained in the Liturgy and thus, help the faithful to recognize and transmit this treasure that is a gift freely given. “The mystery brought about in the Liturgy is truly great. It opens a glimpse of Heaven on earth,” said Blessed John Paul II.

The first DVD, “From the Visible to the Invisible – The Liturgy”, is currently available at http://www.eukmamie.org/en/television/series/visible-invisible/1365-liturgy , which also features a trailer of the program. The approximate running time is 30 minutes and it is available in five languages: English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, and it will soon also be available in Chinese. The following three programs will also be launched, “Adoration,” The Mass I”, and “The Mass II”, in this Year of Faith.
