Tuesday will begin the next major step in the legal battles against the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate that requires companies to provide sterilization, abortifacients and contraception to employees.

The Supreme Court will hear the case of Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood vs HHS and the Obama Administration.

A prayer service is planned for the sidewalk in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning.

Hobby Lobby is a for-profit crafts store run by a Christian family. Though they have provided insurance coverage for various forms of contraception through the years, they are opposed to abortifacient birth control, citing their conviction that life begins at conception.

They are accusing the federal government of violating their religious freedom as business owners in attempting to make them pay for services which they find morally objectionable.
