Below is a ZENIT translation of Pope Francis’ address to participants of a meeting organized by the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Group, whom he met with this morning in the Vatican before his weekly General Audience:
***
Ladies and Gentlemen, Lord Cardinal,
I thank you so much for your visit, which I very much appreciate. I had a great joy when the President of Iran came and also a very good impression of your culture, when the Madam Vice-President visited me with a group of women professors. This struck me very positively, and I remained satisfied.
And I also like to see you here today, as well as this dialogue taking place that is so important. I ask you to not forget to pray for me, because I am in need of prayers, and I thank you for this good will of dialogue, of approaching one another and of fraternity.
May God bless you. Thank you.
