Pope Sends Almoner to Ukraine to Inaugurate Shelter for Single Mothers, which Francis’ Himself Helped to Finance

Single mothers with their children and homeless women will be housed there in appropriately prepared rooms. There will also be a soup kitchen in the Shelter for the poor, to provide hot food for them and a welcoming environment.

Known in France is a gesture — with a double reading — of Macron to the Pope: the scheduled date to discuss the law in favour of euthanasia in the Council of Ministers was September 21 but it was postponed . . .
