Pope Francis offered a special greeting to Italian-speaking pilgrims at his General Audience on October 18, 2017, in St. Peter’s Square.
The Holy Father’s Greeting
A warm welcome goes to the Italian-speaking pilgrims! I am happy to receive the faithful of the Diocese of Conversano-Monopoli, with the Bishop, Monsignor Giuseppe Favale, gathered here on the occasion of the diocesan Marian Year; the Confirmation candidates of the Diocese of Faenza-Modigliana, with the Bishop, Monsignor Mario Toso; the capitulars of the Daughters of Saint Mary of Leuca and the women religious taking part in the meeting organized by USMI. Dear brothers and sisters, may your pilgrimage to Rome revive your communion with the Successor of Peter and the universal Church and make you witnesses of Christ in your local Churches.
