The Holy Father appointed Reverend Monsignor Luigi Roberto Cona, currently Adviser of the Apostolic Nunciature in Italy, Adviser on General Affairs of the Secretariat of State.
Pope Francis also appointed Monsignor Stanislaw Wachowski, Under-Secretary of the Secretariat of State’s Section for Relations with States. At present, Monsignor Wachowski is Adviser of the Nunciature in the same Section for Relations with States., reported today, October 24, 2019, the Holy See Press Office.
Monsignor Luigi Roberto Cona
Born in Niscemi, Caltanissetta, Italy on November 10, 1965, he was ordained priest on April 28, 1990, incardinated in Piazza Armerina.
With a Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology, he entered the Holy See’s Diplomatic Service on July 1, 2003, and has worked in the Pontifical Representations of Panama, Portugal, Cameroon, Morocco, Jordan and Turkey, and in the General Affairs Section of the Secretariat of State and in the Apostolic Nunciature of Italy.
He speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.
Monsignor Miroslaw Stanislaw Wachowski
Born in Pisz, Poland on May 8, 1970, he entered the Holy See’s Diplomatic Service on July 1, 2004, and has worked in the Pontifical Representations in Senegal, in International Organizations of Vienna, Poland and in the Secretariat of State’s Section for Relations with States.
He speaks Italian, English, French and Russian.
