(ZENIT News / Manila, 08.06.2022).- Laid on Tuesday, May 17, was the corner stone of the Saint Michael Center for Spiritual Deliverance and Exorcism in the Archdiocese of Manila. It is a religious structure of the Catholic Church, which is locally described as “the first of its kind in Asia, if not in the world.” The Center will house four different entities: the Commission of Extraordinary Phenomenons of the Archdiocese of Manila, the Office of the Ministry of Exorcism, and the Office of Visions and Phenomenons. It will also be the headquarters of the Philippine Association of Catholic Exorcists (PACE).
Attending the ceremony for the laying of the corner stone were the Archbishop of Manila, Cardinal José Advincula, as well as the Archdiocese’s Director of the Office of Exorcisms, Father Francisco Syquia. “This Center will attend those that are enslaved by the devil and who are, therefore, among the poorest of the poor and are usually ignored,” said Father Syquia. Also present at the ceremony were Monsignor Clemente Ignacio, the Archdiocese’s Vicar General; Father Rico García, Rector of the Minor Seminary of Our Lady of Guadalupe; some exorcists and members of the lay team of the Office of Exorcism of the Archdiocese of Manila and the Philippine Association of Catholic Exorcists.
