(ZENIT News / Rome, 06.07.2023).- Pope Francis’ operation lasted three hours. The surgical intervention “was carried out without complications,” according to a statement of the Vatican Press Office.

The same source informed that, as a precaution, all the Holy Father’s audiences and public activities are suspended until June 18. His stay in the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic will last several days, to allow the unfolding of the normal postoperative course and full functional recovery.
