Pope Leo XIV

3 days after his surgery, photos of the Pope were published, and that day saw the highest number of visitors and phone calls

Leo spoke with his older brother, Louis Prevost, 74, who is receiving treatment for multiple myeloma in Tampa, Florida. Louis later recounted that the Pope had asked whether he was afraid. He jokingly suggested that Leo should transfer to his hospital because of the quality of its care; the pontiff replied that he, too, was receiving excellent treatment in Rome.

Leo received respiratory physiotherapy and completed mobility exercises, beginning to walk around his hospital room and carrying out daily activities independently. He has also returned to his usual diet, eating both breakfast and lunch. According to his doctors, his recovery is following the expected course.
