(ZENIT News / Washington, D.C., 29.08.2022).- The majority of Americans support the Government’s funding of Pro-Life Clinics. According to an online survey carried out by The Federalist, 64% of citizens support the use of public funds. Among Democrats, 70% are in favour of such funding.
The survey was carried out in early August, after Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren said she was against Pro-Life Clinics, and urged the Government to closed them throughout the Union.
Pro-Life Clinics in the United States offer pre-natal care, clothes and diapers, something of which many are unaware. Once they find out, they welcome the assistance. The figures “show how far the Democratic impulse to do away with the Pro-Life Clinics is from the average and compassionate American voter,” reports The Federalist.
Recently, a group of Senators of the Democratic Party sent a request to Google to classify Pro-Life Clinics as “false clinics,” so that their publications are hidden in search results.
According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, whose mission is “to promote the public’s better understanding of the value of human life, maternity and paternity,” in 2019 the more than 2,700 Pro-Life Centers in the United States provided almost two million services, amounting to US$270 million. The money comes practically from pro-life donors. The same source reported that at least 68,832 people work in Pro-Life Centers, in addition to 53,855 volunteers. Since 2016 they have saved, as a whole, more than 800,000 babies.
