The foundation disclosed Monday that the archbishop of Washington, D.C.; Rabbi Arthur Schneider, founder of the organization; and Monsignor Khajag Barsamian, head of the Armenian Church in the United States, could meet Orthodox leaders this week, as well as with Kremlin officials and parliamentarians.
Last week the Orthodox patriarch canceled a Feb. 21-22 visit by Cardinal Walter Kasper, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, in protest over the Pope´s creation of four Catholic dioceses in Russia.
