VATICAN CTIY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2017 (Zenit.org).- In the course of the General Audience of September 20, 2017 in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis invited doctors and health professionals to protect “the gift of life” in face of “urgent ethical challenges.”

During his greeting to English-speaking pilgrims after his catechesis, the Holy Father addressed “the numerous doctors and health professionals present,” encouraging “their efforts dedicated to respect and protect the gift of life in face of the urgent ethical challenges of our time. “

“Upon you and upon your families I invoke the joy and peace of Our lord Jesus Christ,” he added.
