The signing is scheduled for Monday in Machakos, Kenya, on the occasion of the opening of a new round of peace talks for southern Sudan, the sides said today.

Talks came a halt at the start of September, when the SPLA seized the city of Torit. Early this week, government troops regained control of the key site. Now, the parties will return to the negotiating table.
