— Father Alfonso C. Chacón Oreja, professor of Church history at the University of the Holy Cross in Rome,

— Father Alfredo Simón, a Benedictine, lecturer in the School of Theology at the Gregorian University,

— Father Guiseppe Phan Tan Thanh, a Dominican, professor of theology at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome,

— Father Luigi Padovese, of the Order of Friars Minor, professor of spiritual theology and patristic theology at the Antonianum in Rome,

— Father François-Marie Lethel, of the Discalced Carmelites, member of the Pontifical Theological Academy,

— Father Alberto Valentini, of the Montfort Missionaries, lecturer at the Marianum Faculty of Theology,

— Father Luigi Nuovo, a Vincentian, lecturer in Church history and the history of spirituality at the Brignole Sale-Negroni Theological Center in Genoa, Italy.

The Congregation for Sainthood Causes generally has 83 consultants and 34 members (cardinals and bishops), a promoter of the faith (a prelate-theologian) and five relators.
