Holy Father,

May I through this short and humble message express my deepest and profound thanks to you for dedicating some of your time to come and visit the Islands of Malta. Your presence amongst the Maltese and Gozitan people has given a new scope to the way that we all look at the Christian values given to us by the Apostle St.Paul. You said in your messages that you came visiting us as a pilgrim and we, from our part have demonstrated the manner that our forefathers had shown their respect and love to the shipwrecked people, when 1,950 years ago our father St. Paul miraculously landed on this island.

Thank you Holy Father for bringing unity amongst the maltese nation. Thank you Holy Father for delivering such a strong and encouraging message to the younger generation…who came in their great numbers to greet you. Thank you Holy Father for giving me the chance, to now look at the Catholic faith and to treasure the gift that has been passed on to me at baptism.

May the Lord Guard and Guide you always and may you have the strength and the courage to steer the Church of Christ for better recognition around the world.

Sincerely,
George Stagno Navarra
