The bombs exploded last Wednesday in three crowded areas of Mumbai during heavy rainfall, leaving some 130 injured. No group has come forward to claim responsibility for the blasts, which constitute the deadliest attack on the city since 15 gunmen killed some 166 people in 2008.

The New Delhi archdiocese organized an interreligious prayer service on Saturday, reported UCANews.com.

Archbishop Vincent Concessao of New Delhi noted that the bombings were "a very sad and unfortunate incident where innocent people have lost their lives."

He urged those present, however, to include in their prayers "those misguided elements who indulge in terror activities."

Father Dominic Emmanuel, archdiocesan spokesman, told UCANews.com that people should pray for terrorists, so that they change their minds and work for peace and reconciliation.
