Meeting to Take Place at the Vatican on Pentecost Sunday

The Prayer for Peace, announced by Pope Francis during his Holy Land pilgrimage, will take place in the afternoon of June 8, Pentecost Sunday, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi has said.

He confirmed in a short statement that the date «has been accepted by both Israel and Palestine».

During his visit to the Holy Land, the Holy Father spontaneously invited Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to come to the Vatican to pray for peace.

It’s believed the meeting will take place at the Pope’s Casa Santa Martha residence.
