«I give a warm welcome to the Arabic-speaking pilgrims, particularly those from Syria, Lebanon and the Middle East!», said Pope Francis during his General Audience of December 13, 2017.
This morning’s General Audience was held at 9:30 in the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall where the Holy Father Francis met with groups of pilgrims and faithful from Italy and from all over the world.
The Pope spoke in Italian, translated immediately into Arabic by one of his collaborators in the Roman Curia: «San Girolamo reminds us that Sunday is ‘the day of the Lord, the day of the Resurrection, the day of Christians, our day,’ and that it leads us toward Salvation.
«Let us remember that, as every plant needs sun and nourishment to live, every Christian
needs the Sunday Eucharist to really live.»
Pope Francis concluded, praying: «May the Lord bless you all and protect you from evil!»
