As he often does during  his Wednesday General Audience, Pope Francis offered special thoughts on April 1, 2020,  for several groups close to his heart:

“I greet young people, the sick, the elderly and newlyweds,” Pope Francis said. “May the last part of the Lenten season we are living be able to foster an appropriate preparation for the celebration of Easter, leading each one to a more felt closeness to Christ. My Blessing to all.”

His remarks came during his audience broadcast from the apostolic library in the Vatican, where he is holding such events during the coronavirus pandemic.
