On June 16, the President of the Financial Information Authority (AIF), Dr Carmelo Barbagallo, and the General Auditor ad interim, Dr Alessandro Cassinis Righini, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, geared to reinforcing the already existing intense relations of collaboration between the two Authorities, also through the provision of periodic meetings at the strategic and operational level.
The Memorandum of Understanding will allow to better discharge the roles assigned by Vatican regulations, regarding AIF with reference to the opposition to money laundering and to the financing of terrorism and, the General Auditor’s Office regarding opposition to corruption.
