A response to: Cardinal: Leave Church Doors Open

When my dad was a teenager, he made a number of painted cardboard houses and buildings to be placed under the Christmas tree each year. When his mother (my grandmother) saw that he was making a church, she told him to make cuts in the front so that doors would swing on their hinges, because, she said, «the doors of a church should always be open».
