The event in Poland gathers songwriters of contemporary Christian music from Central and Eastern Europe. Organizers of the SOS Festival believe that music can be a «magnificent integrating factor.»
«Styles and origins may differ, but the message is always one: the Good News,» they said in a press statement.
The festival will take place in this scenic medieval city June 26-28.
The list of artists includes Greg Walton and Pollyanna Dorough (United States), Tomek Kaminski (Poland), the Capewalk groups (Germany), White Spirit (France), Arka Noego (Poland) and Tymoteusz (Poland).
The concerts are free and will be transmitted live through Internet.
In addition to the concerts, there will be cultural and religious events, including exhibitions, debates, meetings with local bishops, prayer vigils, and tents where individual participants can meet and talk to priests or pastors, or go to confession in various languages.
