Peter Sagan, the World’s triple cycling champion, gave Pope Francis a bicycle, during the General Audience on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Having come with his family for the weekly meeting at St. Peter’s Square, he presented the Pope with a white and yellow bicycle, the colours of the Holy See, as well as an inscribed world’s champion rainbow jersey.
“My competitions begin with the sign of the cross and, if my father is present, we always do it together,” confided the Slovak of the Bora team to L’Osservatore Romano.
