“The cold diagnosed to the Holy Father in recent days is running its course, without symptoms attributable to other pathologies,” the Director of Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni,” said March 3, 2020, in response to questions from journalists. “In the meantime, Pope Francis celebrates daily Holy Mass and follows the spiritual exercises that are taking place at the Divine Master House in Ariccia.”

The Holy Father has limited his schedule since last Friday, February 28. He has canceled or postponed public appearances outside the Vatican and received limited numbers of people in Casa Santa Marta, his home, in the Vatican.
