The Pope made his proposal today when meeting in Paul VI Hall with thousands of pilgrims who came to Rome to attend the canonization of Arnold Janssen and two others on Sunday. The German missionary (1837-1909) also founded the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters and the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters.

Speaking of the new saint, the Holy Father said: «In reviewing new and unexplored ways to spread the Gospel, he was able to inspire many collaborators around him — priests, men and women religious, and lay people — who now continue his apostolic work.»
