The Pope said this today at the end of the general audience in Paul VI Hall, with his customary greeting to youth, the sick and newlyweds.

«Dear young people,» he said, «may the Lenten journey that we are taking be an occasion for authentic conversion that leads you to maturity of faith in Christ.»

The Holy Father continued: «Dear sick people, participating with love in the suffering of the Son of God incarnate, you are able to share preliminarily in the glory and joy of his resurrection. And you, dear newlyweds, find in the alliance that, at the cost of his blood, Christ has made with his Church, the support and model of your marital pact and of your mission at the service of the Gospel.»
