AsiaNews reported the ordination of Father Paul Lei Shiyin of Leshan, Sichuan.

Meanwhile, a priest that does have Vatican approval for episcopal ordination is under arrest.

He was to be ordained Wednesday as coadjutor for the Diocese of Handan. The 43-year-old bishop-designate was taken away Sunday by police after he had completed a five-day spiritual retreat in preparation for his ordination.
