Resignation and appointment of the Bishop of Ciudad Obregón (Mexico)
The Holy Father accepted the resignation from the pastoral care of the Diocese of Ciudad Obregón (Mexico), presented by HE Mgr. Felipe Padilla Cardona.
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Rutilo Felipe Pozos Lorenzini, currently titular Bishop of Satafis and Auxiliary of Puebla, as Bishop of Ciudad Obregón (Mexico).
Curriculum vitae
HE Mons. Rutilo Felipe Pozos Lorenzini was born in the city of Rancho San Diego, Metropolitan Archdiocese of Puebla, on February 15, 1967. He studied in the Palafoxiano Major Seminary of Puebla and received priestly ordination on June 29, 1993, becoming incardinated in the Archdiocese Metro of Puebla. He obtained a Licentiate in Spirituality and a Diploma for Seminary Formators from the Pontifical Gregorian University.
As a priest he has held the following positions: Parish Vicar, Diocesan Assistant for Family Catechesis and Family Pastoral Care, President of the Diocesan Commission for Ministries, Professor and Rector of the Palafoxiano Major Seminary of Puebla.
On 6 December 2013 he was appointed titular bishop of Satafis and auxiliary of Puebla and received episcopal ordination on 3 March 2014.
The Prelate is a member of the Permanent Council of the Mexican Episcopal Conference representing the Ecclesiastical Province of Puebla.

The Holy Father has appointed the Rev. Strahil Veselinov Kavalenov, currently Vicar General of the same circumscription, as Apostolic Administrator of the vacant seat of the Diocese of Nicopolis (Bulgaria).
