Prize Recognizes Journalists Who Defend Life and the Family

The second edition of the journalistic Prize “A Pen for Life,” which awards journalists who defend life and the Family was announced recently. The award is  promoted by the Biomedi@ Research and Critical Analysis Group, in collaboration with the Italian National Association of Journalists and Press Agents (ANGPI), the Journalists Press Office (GUS), the Media Press Association (ASMI) and Ceris/CNR with the sponsorship of the Order of Journalists, the Italian National Press Federation (Fnsi), the UCSI and Pro-Life News [Notizie Prolife].

The objective of the National Journalistic Prize “A Pen for Life” is to promote within the press and social communication correct and effective information and communication on subjects relating to Bioethics.

The Prize will be awarded to a professional that, following the popular vote and that of the jury, has carried out in an exemplary way, for his professionalism and deontological correctness, his activity in the area of journalistic information or social communication on bioethical topics.

The Commission’s three singled out candidates are: Francesco Agnoli (Il Foglio), Benedetta Frigerio (Tempi) and Antonio Gaspari (ZENIT).

The designation of the Prize includes the following stages:

Choice of three candidates by the Biomedi@ Group.

Public online voting among the three names selected.

Election of the winner by the Biomedi@ Group, based also on the public vote

The prize-giving ceremony of the plaque “A Pen for Life” will take place at the Pontifical College Maria Mater Ecclesiae on July 2, 2013 at 11:00 am.
