Tomorrow, Pope Francis will celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Castel Gandolfo. The Holy Father will depart by car to the Papal Summer residence in the morning and will first visit the Cloistered monastery of the Order of St. Clare.

Pope Francis first visited the monastery during his visit on July 14. According to Vatican Radio, the Holy Father visited the monastery to thank the nuns for their prayers and their dedication to the contemplative life. “I have come here because I know that you pray for me,” the Pope told the nuns.

After his visit to the monastery, Pope Francis will then celebrate Mass Piazza della Liberta, located in front of the Papal Palace. Before returning to the Vatican, the Holy Father is also expected to visit the parish of St. Thomas of Villanova, a local parish in Castel Gandolfo.
