US President Donald Trump on September 23, 2020, announced that he will sign the “Born Again Executive Order” that will require that every baby born alive “no matter what their circumstances will receive the medical care they deserve.”

His announcement during a video address to the 16th Annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, which drew speakers from around the nation to the virtual event, held via the internet in light of the pandemic.

“We believe that every child — born and unborn — is made in the holy image of God,” the President said. “We’re also increasing funding for neonatal research.”

During his brief address, he also thanked all those who pray for him, the first lady, and the country. He recounted growing up near a Catholic Church in Queens, New York, and seeing how many things the Catholic Church did for the community.

He noted the importance of Catholic schools, as well as the service the Church provides to the elderly and most vulnerable.

“These are amazing people,” President Trump said. “These are great, great people.

“Our nation is strong because of Catholics and all people of faith.”
