The presentation will take place on April 6 at the Augustinianum Patristic Institute in Rome, with the participation of Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and member of the Foundation’s Scientific Committee, as well as Father Federico Lombardi, SJ, the Foundation’s President, Father Giuseppe Caruso, Director of the Augustinianum and Father Giuseppe Costa, Director of the Librairie Editrice Vaticana (LEV), one of the publishers of the work.
In the introduction, Father Lombardi stresses that the book “is an original way of bringing together an international group of known researchers, who have shared their points of view on Joseph Ratzinger’s thought.”
Among the essays’ authors, from 11 different countries, are Catholic theologians, Anglican Bible specialist Richard Burridge, Greek Orthodox theologian Ioannis Kourempeles and Lebanese scholar Nabil el-Khoury, as well as French philosopher Remi Brague and theologian, Anne-Marie Pelletier.
Cardinal Koch will intervene on the theme: “A Symphony of Love and Truth in Complete Freedom. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, Grateful Witness of the Easter Faith.”
